Pharmacy Staff
Dr. Sara Traylor, PharmD, Dip-ACLM, BC-ADM, CDCES – Clinical Pharmacy Services Manager
Dr. Traylor launched Southwire’s diabetes management program in 2014. Dr. Traylor serves as the PGY1 + PGY2 Leadership and Administration Residency Site Coordinator for Southwire/Premise Health. She is board certified in Advanced Diabetes Management, a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist, and a diplomat in Lifestyle Medicine. Special interests include managing chronic conditions with lifestyle modifications, medication reduction, and improving patient access to high quality healthcare.
Southwire’s diabetes management program has been recognized by PBMI, CDC, APhA, and Georgia’sTask Force on Healthcare Access and Cost.
Amy King Griffin – Pharmacy Manager
Amy earned her bachelor of science in pharmacy and her Doctorate of Pharmacy Degree from the University of Georgia. Amy is a native of Bowdon, and has been with Wiggins Family Pharmacy since 2007.
Dr. Kathy Doane, PharmD, RDN, CMTM, Dip-ACLM, BC-ADM, CDCES – Clinical Pharmacist
Dr. Doane joined the Southwire Clinical Pharmacy Services Team in March 2023. She is board certified in Advanced Diabetes Management, a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist, a diplomat in Lifestyle Medicine, a Registered Dietician-Nutritionist, and certified in Medication Therapy Management. Her previous pharmacy experience includes working as a bilingual clinical pharmacist with prescribing authority at a Federally Qualified Health Center.
Dr. Doane was elected to the national board of directors for the Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists (ADCES) for 2025-2028. In the past, Dr. Doane has served on a number of ADCES leadership committees in addition to her work as an active volunteer and leader within the American Pharmacists Association (APhA).
Dr. Katy Nicholson, PharmD – Clinical Pharmacist
Dr. Nicholson has served as staff and clinical pharmacist since 2015. She provides patient education focused on medication adherence, disease management, and preventive health measures.
Dr. Dani Warren, PharmD – Clinical Pharmacist
Dr. Warren is the Leadership and Administration pharmacy resident for 2024 and 2025. In her time at UGA, she served as the newsletter editor for the Student Pharmacist Diabetes Organization. Dani has a passion for healthcare in rural and underserved communities, and her areas of interest include chronic conditions like diabetes, hypertension, asthma, and cholesterol management.
